Christine Piché is the Senior Director of Patent Services and Strategic Affairs at CIPO. Christine started her career In intellectual property over twenty years ago. Her current functions include the management of patent operations, quality, information management and information technology and training. Prior to CIPO, Christine worked at the National Research Council Canada (NRC) as an IP advisor, later becoming a director and leading the IP portfolio management and protection function for the NRC. Subsequently, as the NRC’s Director of Business Support, she led a diverse team of professionals responsible for the strategic management of the NRC’s IP, including the commercialization of their IP and the management of licensing and other IP-related agreements with partners.
Christine holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, and an MBA. She is also registered to practise as patent agent in Canada.
